A Safe Workplace

Knowing if you can carry your firearm in different places can be challenging.

Although South Carolina law allows lawful gun owners to carry in general, your employer (company, government agency, nonprofit) may specifically prohibit firearms on their premises. Check with your employer before bringing a firearm to work.

If you are permitted to bring a firearm to your workplace, remember to have it secured in a lockbox anytime it’s not on your person or in your vehicle.
